Orientation agency seeks peace ahead of polls | The Guardian Nigeria Newspaper - Nigeria and World News


National Orientation Agency (NOA) has embarked on peaceful elections sensitization programme at the Lagos Mainland Local Government, urging the people to maintain peace during the polls. Stakeholders present at the programme include amongst others, traditional rulers, community leaders, youth organizations, market women and men, artisans, political parties etc. He stressed that peaceful elections are the duty of everyone. The Head of Administration of the Council, Mr. Segun Ajagunna, who stood in for the Chairman of the Council, Mrs Omolola Rashidat Essien gave the welcome address and also sued for peace during and after the elections. The Coordinator of the Agency’s activities in the Council, Mr. Abayomi Alakija, in the closing remarks, enjoined participants to spread the gospel of violence free 2019 elections.
